The Kokanee lure is used when fishing above the bottom of the lake from 40 to 70 ft. down. It can trigger savage strikes as a lake trout may shoot from the bottom, grab it above, and dive back down again. Make sure your drag is not too tight, and watch your reel scream. Captain Steve likes to run this lure above a Blue Tiger lure when stacking.
